Remember

I enjoy remembering some favorite things of my youth like riding my “new” two wheel bike for the first time. It may have been snowing, but I had to take a drive just to feel the freedom and excitement. There was my favorite doll “Susie” or the Spirograph that I got one Christmas. And, of course, the many books I loved to read. Oh, to get lost in the world of a book!

I’m sure we can all think of a favorite activity or toy from our childhood, and hopefully they bring good memories. It’s fun to sit down with family and remember past events, and everyone has a different take on them.

I love to listen to my children, Bethany and Jared remember their childhoods. These can be a laugh till you cry event.

And now I’m making memories with my grandchildren; those precious little people that bring such joy to our lives.

Even though we can’t go back and relive those childhood days, they are forever in our memories. And I believe we should share those memories with our families. Pass down the good and the hard memories. The learning light bulb moments that may have changed our lives.

Ask the questions that get your grandparents remembering and your parents and your kids. Enjoy the past as you move into the future.

Welcome!

This is a brand new outreach that I never thought I would do. But my daughter suggested I use this way of communicating to friends (new and old) and family.

God has been teaching me alot lately about “walking” with Him. I put walking in quotes because I have MS and I don’t walk anymore so some of the blogs will be about that part of my life.

We will also talk about:

  • Books I’m reading
  • Caregiving
  • Being a Mom & Grandma
  • Value of Friendship
  • Whatever God prompts me to talk about.

So welcome to my blog. We’ll figure this out as we go. So enjoy the ride with me.
